Carpal Tunnel ScreeningThis will involve electronic testing of the nerves in your wrists and hands for the presence of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and entrapment of the Median nerve.
Common symptoms of this condition include: numbness, tingling, weakness or pain in the hand or wrist, especially at night.
Activities and employment that require rapid or frequent repetitive motion of the wrists and hands (such as keyboard data entry) may bring this condition on. It may also be more common in diabetes, pregnancy, vitamin deficiency and low thyroid conditions.
We will also be able to test your blood sugar while in office at no cost, as a screen for diabetes.
The testing should be completed in 30 minutes or less. Wear short-sleeve shirts or tops. On the day of the testing, do not apply any creams, oils, colognes or perfumes to the skin of the arms, wrists and hands.
